Even after 40 years in the Miami real estate market, I am is still breaking new ground as one of the city’s most experienced real estate professionals. I currently serve as the Vice-Chair of the City of Miami Planning, Zoning, and Appeals board; and as Past President and Board Member of her Beth David Congregation. And yet, I have to tell you that each and every sale I’ve been responsible for has left an impression on me. Just this past year, I sold two homes belonging to the estate of the first woman to ever race boats offshore in the 1950s. One was a coral rock house in Midtown, surrounded by high-rises and the other a sprawling home on the shores of the Miami River. After so many years in this business I’ve sold everything from an Old Spanish home in West Palm Beach to a conch house in the Keys and everything in between. Lately however, the majority of my clients are interested in Coconut Grove, Shenandoah, and the Miami River – which I also call home.
I grew up on Miami Beach, but have lived on the Miami River since 1974. The first few years, I lived on a floating home, but in 1979 I bought the home I still have today – and I’ve enjoyed the view as I see the rest of the world now discovering ‘my’ river.”
Throughout my career, I’ve made a name for myself by always being educated about the market, dependable, and organized. My clients will tell you I am one of the most knowledgeable, insightful, and honest agents working in the business today. For me, however, it’s simply an extension of who I am. The bottom line is I’m a people person. I love bringing people together in a transaction. I love the challenge of proving my value by getting results for a seller. And I love sharing in the happiness and excitement buyers have when they find the house. It’s why I’ve been able to succeed in this career for so long and never stop learning about the latest tools and technologies to stay at the cutting edge of the industry.
Over the years, I have received numerous awards for community service and for real estate sales production, but it is my two children who are my proudest achievements. Daughter, Sarah is an attorney in New York; and son, Benjamin is a high school History teacher in Miami. When not busy selling real estate, I enjoy volunteering and supporting community service and going out on my sailboat.
